Group of 20: Leader's Summit
In my few years of life an uncomfortable feeling has grown. How such a small girl, who lacks so much to learn, can help the world? I have not yet found an answer to this question, and I'm not sure I will find it someday.
Being a delegate in Models of the United Nations has become a great part of my high school life. I love the sensation of learning about the world, and trying to come up with a solution. It gives you a feeling that you are trying to be part of the solution instead of the problem.
It is difficult to explain why do I like the Group of Twenty. For me, the passion towards this comity comes from the perspective that gives you. The Group of Twenty shows the economic importance of a political dispute. Most of the time we do not have the possibility of seeing the antecedents of a problem until after it happens. Analyising the economic problem of the world gives you that possibility.
We are living in a world full of possibilities, and sadly full of disputes. I believe that everyone needs to do his or her small contribution to solve the problem. I know that most of the time we cannot feel that our contribution is much, but I am sure that if everyone tries to make a small change the world can change. It is our responsibility to do one´s part to help to ease the uncomfortable feeling.
If I could give an advise to the delegates I would say to enjoy it. Enjoy the feeling the model gives you; that rush that gives you speaking about a country as it was your own, knowing in a small way that what you are talking about matters. Enjoy it as much I have enjoyed planning it, and as I know I am going to enjoy it.
