Hello Delegates:

 

We are very thankful that you have chosen ECOSOC to be your committee. Gustavo Rubio and I, Alonso Mercenario will be your Undersecretaries. We like to inform you that we are expecting all of your commitment to this Model of the United Nations. And we are making so much effort to give you one of the best experiences here in Thomas Jefferson.

This Model will help you with a lot of things. It helps students to learn more about their own world, also to learn how to raise their voices so they can solve a problem. We think TJMUN delegates have and need leadership, respect, commitment and a lot of attitude.

 

Here is why:

You learn the concept of leadership and how to apply it by giving the best opinions and really creating a positive movement around the classroom.

You learn to respect others opinions, because yours is important but also others’.

You will need to have commitment with the Thomas Jefferson and with the model of United Nations. Enter into your delegation’s opinions.

You also will need attitude to stand, raise your voice and give your opinion that may be not the same that others have.

 

The ECOSOC is very glad to have you here. We will be still working in this project to make even better. Your part is to work in a resolution paper to end this world problems. Face them, research for them, understand them, and finally, end them.
